garrickwood.com is the personal website of me, Garrick Wood. You’ll find a mix of original articles, shared items, links and video on subjects I’m interested in.

The professional

I work for a government department, leading mutli-disciplinary teams designing services that make a difference. I apply service design principles and design thinking to implement policy and improve services to citizens.

I have a Bachelor of Social Sciences from the University of Waikato and a Master of Public Policy from Victoria University of Wellington School of Government.

The person

When I’m not designing, I would rather be flying. Since a child I have had an avid interest in aviation. One day I’ll achieve the dream of being a pilot. In the meantime, until funds allow, I’m limited to spending my spare time playing FSX and planespotting. 

Garrick proudly lives in Wellington, New Zealand with his wife. No kids (yet in progress). No pets (yet).
